SO LETS STARTS WITH THIS WEEK'S REPORT.

                                         SHORT FILM / MAGAZINE COVER

These are the two topics of [M.S.] exam component one students have to choose one of them and make.

*I am choosing "short film" because I wasn't introduced to photoshop that much.

My teacher told me if I am choosing short films as my choice then I need to choose any 5 topics on which I can make the short film.

so the topics that I have chosen are:

1.HORROR

2. ANIME

3. MUSIC

4. LOVE

5. ACTION

WHAT IS SHORT FLIM?

A shot film's shortness is what makes it unique in the first place. Although they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, uses, and genetic make-ups, they nearly always have the same objectives: to be made for less money than a feature picture, to acquire industry recognition, and to experience crafting shorter, more focused storylines before settling on longer ones.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF SHORT FLIMS?

In order to obtain finance for further projects from private investors, a production business, or film studies, short films are typically used as industry experience and as a platform to display talent. On some home video releases, they may also be offered as a supplementary feature.

Here are some questions I found interesting on google

                                               (SHORT)

Any movie that has enough footage to be deemed a short film but not long enough to be a feature film. A short film is described as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits" by the academy of motion picture arts and sciences.

and here I will end the blog here lets meet next time.

                                 (AVERAGE LENGTH)

Although there is no set length requirement for shot films in Hollywood, in general, a shot film is a movie that is up to 50 minutes long. Having said that, the typical duration is 20 minutes. A short movie could be computer-generated, live-action, or animated.

                                                 (STAGES)

                            * There are total six steps of creating a short film.

                                              *STEP1: Create a plan

                                               *STEP2: Write a script

                                                  *STEP3: Select collaborations

                                             *STEP4: Practice and brainstorm steps

                                            *STEP5: Filming

                                          *STEP6:Edit

                                                       (COST)
Therefore, a short film's average budget was $14000. 14407.52 dollars and 52 cents. This rate might be considerably lower if we assume that a bank line in the "film budget" column represents a zero. If such were the case, the average budget would be at least $8,300.

Now that I know the answers to these questions, I'm intrigued about other things like trailers and teasers. There were other topics that caught my attention, such as "why are music videos made if they can just upload audio" and "what is live action," so I decided that I should get to work and learn as much as I could about these issues and this sector. Let's start with "TRAILER" now.

                                                   (TRAILER)
A trailer is a type of commercial advertisement, initially for a feature film playing at a theatre or cinema. It is sometimes referred to as a preview or attraction video.
It is the result of both technical and creative work.

*WHAT DOES TRAILER OF A MOVIE MEANS?
An upcoming feature film's trailer serves as an advertisement with the goal of piqueing interest among viewers.

*WHY IS IT CALLED A MOVIE TRAILER?
Because projectionists used to frequently append the short films to the end of the reels of the B-movie in a show, they became known as trailers. They followed the supporting film but came before the major attraction as a result.
*HOW LONG IS A MOVIE TRAILER?
There are roughly 20 minutes of preshow content, including the trailer, between the scheduled start time and the beginning of the main movie.

*HOW LONG SHOULD A TRAILER FOR A SHORT FILM BE?
A minute and a half or so. Your trailer should not be too long. There is no specific length requirement for your trailer, but keeping it to a few minutes is a smart place to start.
A shorter trailer, sometimes known as a teaser, typically lasts one minute, give or take.

NOW LETS TALK ABOUT "TEASE TRAILER"

                                  (TEASER TRAILER)
Also known as a teaser trailer or trailer teaser, a teaser is a brief, edited promotional video used to raise awareness of an upcoming movie and reveal its release date. A teaser for a movie highlights the highlights of the story and is released closer to the movie's release date.

*WHAT DOES TEASER MEANS?
A challenging question, particularly one in a competition, is a teaser.

Noun with a count. A teaser is a brief preview of a tale, movie, or other topic that piques your interest.

*WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRAILER AND TEASER?
At the conclusion of a film's production, a trailer is prepared. Before or during the creation of a movie, teasers are generated. The trailer has a three-act format that depicts the movie's beginning, middle, and end.
Teaser videos focus on the dramatic passage without any appropriate organisation.

*WHY IS IT CALLED TEASER TRAILER?
An early example of the teaser was the one for the 1978 Superman film by "Richard donner," which was designed. A teaser trailer is a brief video segment related to an upcoming film, television programme, video game, or other similar product that is typically released far in advance of the product in order to "tease" the audience.

                                                  {MUSIC}

The art of arranging sound to produce some combination of form, harmony, melody, rhythm, or other expressive content is often referred to as music. Despite being a component of all human communities and a cultural staple, there are many different precise definitions of music in different parts of the world. Although experts concur that a few distinct aspects define music, there is disagreement over how each ingredient should be described. Although the topic itself spans into academic fields, criticism, philosophy, and psychology, the creation of music is typically split into three categories: musical composition, musical improvisation, and musical performance. A wide variety of instruments, including the human voice, can be used to perform or improvise music.

Performance or composition may be somewhat impromptu in some musical settings. For instance, in Hindustani classical music, the musician uses recognisable melodies and follows a loosely defined pattern while playing impromptu. In modal jazz, the musicians may alternate between leading and following while exchanging a different set of notes. There may be absolutely no structure in a free jazz setting, with each musician performing at their own discretion. Music may be purposefully written such that it cannot be performed or it may be electronically combined from multiple performances.

Music is heard inadvertently as part of the score or soundtrack to a movie, TV show, opera, or video game, highlighted at events like festivals, rock concerts, and symphony performances, and played in both public and private spaces. The main purpose of an MP3 player or CD player, as well as a standard feature of radios and smartphones, is to play music.

In social gatherings, religious events, rites of passage, festivals, and cultural activities, music frequently plays a crucial part. The music business consists of composers, musicians, sound engineers, producers, tour managers, and sellers of musical instruments, gear, and sheet music. Music critics, music journalists, music experts, and amateurs alike review and critique compositions, performances, and recordings.

*WHAT IS THE EFFECT OF MUSIC IN MOVIES?

The use of music in movies helps tell the story of the scenes, convey the setting details, highlight the emotional states of the characters, and give the audience a sense of the overall tone or mood of the movie.

*WHAT IS THE POWER OF MUSIC IN FILM?
Music reveals information about people, significant turning points in the narrative, and the complex subtext hiding behind a scene. Whether we are instructed to focus on anything else on the screen, it can help us determine when to become emotionally involved in the activity and when to stand back and observe it objectively.
*WHAT DOES MUSIC SYMBOLIZE IN MOVIE?

Expressing Emotions

By tapping into the characters' emotions, music can enhance the narrative. Simply by changing the music, a face with a neutral expression can be made to "feel" a variety of different things. In a same vein, it naturally works incredibly well to elicit particular emotions in the audience.

*DOES A MOVIE NEED MUSIC?

Filmmakers utilise music very carefully to establish the tone and mood of a movie since it may explain the storyline and tell the story. Additionally, music is employed to convey character emotions, actions, tensions, and even horror. A superb film can be made by using music to add a compelling ambiance to the scene.

*WHAT IS MUSIC IN A MOVIE CALLED?

The term "soundtrack" is often used to describe a possible soundtrack CD for a movie, and it is also used to describe a movie's whole soundscape, including dialogue, sound effects, and music. 26-Aug-2020.

*HOW DOES MUSIC IMPACT A FILM?

Your film's soundtrack directs viewers and evokes the feelings that underpin the plot, the dialogue, and the action. It is a fantastic addition to any movie. Since there has never been a "silent" movie, you should experiment with music as a director.

*HOW DOES MUSIC AFFECT MOOD IN FILM?

Film music can offer specific descriptive cues that help us better understand the story being told in the movie. These cues can help us increase our emotional reaction to the images on the screen and, as a result, interpret the exact emotions being hinted at.

*WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC IN FILM?

A movie's soundtrack can affect how a spectator interprets a scene, elicit a particular feeling, foretell certain events, identify a particular character, or connect many scenes or themes in a movie.

*HOW DOES MUSIC INFLUENCE THE AUDIENCE?

One of the most effective techniques for affecting emotion, music establishes the mood for your entire event. It is necessary to choose the correct music for the type of meeting you are holding since music creates a vital undercurrent of emotion that can enhance any event, meeting, or experience.

*WHAT DOES LACK OF MUSIC DO IN MOVIE?

The lack of a backing track makes it imperative that we focus on what is being spoken on camera. Silence gives a situation a sense of importance, and viewers are more inclined to pay close attention to a moment they see as essential.

                              (SCRIPT/STORYLINE)

Without a script, there cannot possibly be a movie. A screenplay is a movie's blueprint; it includes both the story's auditory and visual elements. It explicitly outlines the characters and the course of action they will take so that the filmmakers may visualise, embody, and bring to life the characters.
