MY EXPERIENCE
MY EXPERIENCE
I've been studying media studies at the AS level for a while. I had several challenges during this time, from to conclusion. The topic of media in general was completely foreign to me. Being Indian, I was never exposed to courses like media, and the curriculum in Cambridge is vastly different from that in India. [CBSE]
From the beginning to the conclusion, the media subject was full of difficulties, including:
1. Understanding the nature of the subject, which took me the first few months to do.This comment refers to the fact that media was a big subject to understand and that as I dug in, it grew more complicated and perplexing. There came a time when I started to lose faith and believed that this topic was not for me.But when my instructor Mr. Ankit Sharma showed up, he gave me some hope.He is the one who first introduced me to media, and at that pivotal moment he counselled me against overthinking and formulating a strategy because media is closely related to the entertainment sector and is a big, ocean-like field. He then warned me that if I don't set up boundaries for my hunt, I'll end up lost like a castaway. His counsel was quite helpful to me in a variety of ways.
2.My own worries
When I first started taking media, a buddy of mine informed me that the only other student who had taken it had been me, and even he had failed. This gave me my own concerns about media issues. So they instilled fear in my heart, but thank God I didn't pay attention to them. The video, however, was not the only terrifying element; there were others as well. I watched a lot of films of other candidates on YouTube, and after seeing how well they were made, I must admit that I was anxious.
3. Lack of information
I had very little to no experience with filmmaking and camera operation when I began filming my course assignment video.I had no clue how to take any shot, therefore in order to fix this issue, I began shooting each and every shot at random merely for practice. This was really helpful to me; subsequently, as time went on, my camera handling abilities improved, and I was able to correctly film my scenario for the video.
I had to deal with a lot more problems, but while I was resolving them, I learned a lot of things, like:
1. How the entertainment business operates
2. How visuals and graphics are truly created and used
3.My own personal growth. I discovered that I need to behave with much more patience, and my leadership abilities also received a boost. I also gained insight into what it means to be a director, among other things.
